Mnium marginatum (Dicks.) P. Beauv.
Family: Mniaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
Bryum marginatum Dicks
Hypnum marginatum (Dicks.) F. Weber & D. Mohr
and many others
Mnium marginatum has a sinuous distal costa that is percurrent or nearly so. The nearly isodiametric laminal cells are not as elongate as those of Mnium arizonicum and not so neatly disposed in oblique rows as in that species. The marginal teeth are double and extend below midleaf. The limbidium is strong and usually brownish rather than hyaline. The leaves are decurrent on the stem.
